Description
I decided to practice drawing backgrounds (especially architecture) in manga style... or something close to that. I'd like to figure out the way of shading, drawing lineart etc.
Hokkaido Shrine (Sapporo)
You didn't expect me to stop talking constantly about Japan, did you?
This is the first shrine I visited in Japan. What I found most interesting is that shrines and temples are mostly quiet places surrounded by trees or even gardens. There's a quite vast open area surrounded by wooden buildings. All in all, there's a lot of silence and peace in there.
About the drawing
As I wrote, I'm looking for a proper way of shading. It seems I'll need to keep on searching.
Also, I can't draw leaves.
