Description
This is a challenge that I was considering for quite a lot of time now. I want to draw my favourite characters that are based on Lewis Carroll's Mad Hatter.
Starring:
Mad Hatter from Disney's Alice in Wonderland
Reference picture: i2.ytimg.com/vi/InSn2BLDwfQ/hq…
I was growing in times when there weren't so many cartoons on TV or TV channels for kids and when I had a cartoon on a video tape (yup, video tape!), I was watching it over and over again, I almost could know all the dialogues by heart.
I had a tape with Alice in Wonderland, Droopy and Koziołek Matołek (Polish cartoon) which was probably my first tape ever, so Alice became an important part of my childhood. And after years I still believe it's a great adaptation of Carroll's book - it's just as crazy as the story was. And so was Mad Hatter.
About the drawing:
After a few attempts of digital drawings, I had more and more problems with getting the shading right. So I decided to try some black&white drawings to check if it's my technique that sucks or just my colours choice (the answer was quite predictable: both) and to practice one of these elements before getting down to fixing another. I think it'll help me figuring out some things.

Actually, I do think your black-and-white shading looks better than your color shading. It also looks like it's way easier to figure out how to improve on it, compared to color drawings.
I have never watched a full Alice in Wonderland movie (nor read the book) >.> But I am going to enjoy these nonetheless! :3 First one looks awesome, looking forward to the next!
Question - though you don't have to answer if you want to keep it a surprise - will Johny Depp be in here?
